Anthropomorphic cats from the planet Thundera leave their dying planet in a massive exodus to escape its destruction. The Thundercats, led by Jaga the Wise, and accompanied by the young Liono, along with Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, and the Wily Twins find refuge on a distant planet called “Third Earth”. But, they are not alone on this strange, new world as their former slaves, the Mutants of Plundaar, seek revenge on the humanoid felines, and a powerful, evil threat welcomes them to the planet.
Thundercats 2011 is both a remake, and a reboot of the popular late 1980′s American animation of the same name.
